Best awning company in Malaysia: how to choose one
Every awning company says it is the best. The quote tells you the truth. Here is what to look for, what to ask, and what we put in writing so you can hold us to it.
The best awning company in Malaysia for your house is the one whose quote names the panel or glass thickness and coating, the frame material and finish, the gutter type, the flashing method, who does the council drawing, and a written warranty on structure and leakage. If any of those is missing, you cannot compare that quote with another one.
Nine things to check on the quote
Panel or glass
ACP should say 4 mm PVDF, not just "ACP". Glass should say laminated or tempered and the thickness. PU metal should say the foam thickness.
Frame
Hot-dip galvanised steel or aluminium. "Mild steel, painted" rusts at the welds within a few years in our weather.
Gutter
Concealed box gutter or exposed half-round. One looks finished, the other looks like an afterthought. The quote should say which.
Flashing
Chased into the wall and sealed, or siliconed onto the surface. Surface silicone fails within two monsoons.
Fall
At least 5° so water runs. It should be in the drawing, not decided on the day.
Drawing
A dimensioned drawing before fabrication, and the council submission drawing if your area needs one. Ask who prepares it.
Fixings
Stainless steel on glass. Expansion bolts into concrete, chemical anchors into brick. "Screws" is not an answer.
Warranty
Years on structure and years on leakage, separately, in writing on the quote. Verbal warranties do not exist.
Payment
A deposit of 30 – 50%, balance on completion. Full payment up front is a red flag.
Questions that expose a weak contractor
- "Can I see a finished job in this material near me?" A real company has addresses
- "What is your SSM number?" Then search it on the SSM portal
- "What happens if it leaks in year two?" Listen for a process, not a reassurance
- "Why is your quote cheaper than the other two?" The honest answer names what was left out
- "Who does the council drawing?" If the answer is "you don't need one", check with your council yourself
What Eave Designs puts in writing
- Every item above, on every quote, itemised so you can compare line by line
- Published price brackets per material on this site, the same for every customer
- 5 years on structure and water leakage at joints
- A dimensioned drawing before fabrication and the council drawing where needed
- Laminated glass as the default over anywhere people stand
- SSM 202203155952, V Creatives Enterprise, Taman Connaught, Cheras

Why we publish prices when others do not
- If you know a glass awning is RM 78 – 120 per sq ft before you message anyone, nobody can quote you RM 140 because your house looks expensive
- It filters out the jobs we are wrong for. If you want a RM 20 per sq ft polycarbonate roof, you should not be on this site, and we say so
- It makes the quote comparable. Same bracket, itemised spec, written warranty
Questions people ask
Who is the best awning company in Malaysia?
The one that puts panel thickness, coating, frame finish, gutter type, drawings and a written leak warranty on the quote, and shows you completed jobs of the same material. Several Klang Valley companies do good work; the quote is how you tell them apart, not the website.
What should I ask an awning contractor?
Which panel or glass and what thickness. Steel or aluminium frame and what finish. Concealed or exposed gutter. How the flashing meets the wall. Who prepares the council drawing. How many years on structure and on leakage, in writing. Can I see a job like mine.
How do I check an awning company is legitimate?
Ask for the SSM registration number and search it on the SSM portal. Ask for the address of a completed job you can drive past. Pay a deposit of no more than 50% and the balance on completion, never 100% up front.
Is the cheapest awning quote a bad sign?
Usually. A quote 30 – 40% under the others normally means thinner panels, an exposed gutter, mild steel fixings, no drawing and no warranty. It is not always wrong, but ask what was left out.
